KDK Foundation gave gift to families whose loved ones had been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). Our goal is to provide hope and support to individuals facing challenges to enjoy everyday life. We believe that children facing medical needs often need the caring hearts of individuals in Dakota County.

We, the Zavalas along with our family, chose this organization to honor our Luca who passed away due to complications from T1D in late 2025. Losing a child is a tragedy that no parent should have to endure. We want to help fund this organization to raise awareness, so no family has to go through the pain of losing a loved one.
